Empowering Girls,

Advocacy and Influencing

ACF strategically leverages its active participation and leadership in civil society networks to champion policy and legislative advocacy. By holding key positions in platforms like Network of Adamawa State Non-governmental Organizations (NANGO), CS-SUNN, NSPAN and CSACEFA, ACF amplifies its voice, transforming from an individual organization into a powerful collective. This allows ACF to set the agenda for these networks, ensuring that its core thematic areas—such as education, nutrition, and social protection—are prioritized in collective advocacy efforts. Furthermore, this strategic positioning provides ACF with direct access to policymakers, facilitating evidence-based dialogue and formal engagement that is more impactful than isolated efforts.

ACF uses these networks as platforms for building alliances, sharing resources, and transferring knowledge, which strengthens not only its own capacity but also that of the wider civil society sector in Adamawa State. This collaborative approach enables ACF to pool expertise and data, leading to more coordinated and effective campaigns. Ultimately, by moving beyond direct service delivery and focusing on influencing systemic and structural change through its network participation, ACF is able to achieve its mission and vision on a larger scale.
