WHO WE ARE.
Alimat Care Foundation (ACF) is an emerging youth-led non-governmental organization based in Northeast Nigeria, with a specific focus on advocating for the rights, welfare, and empowerment of the girl child. Established in 2022, ACF is dedicated to championing the cause of girls in Nigeria, particularly in regions where cultural and socio-economic barriers hinder their progress. Through our programs and initiatives, we strive to ensure that no girl is left behind and that they have the tools, support, and resources they need to thrive.
Our program interventions aim to positively impact the lives of millions of girls in Nigeria, improve access to quality education, increase school enrollment, retention and completion rates among girls, end violence and the prevalence of harmful practices against women and girls and provide an enabling environment for girls to thrive and contribute to their communities.
Mission
Our mission is to improve the lives and future prospects of girls in Nigeria. We believe that when girls are educated, protected, and empowered, they have the ability to positively transform their communities, break the cycle of poverty, and create a brighter future for themselves and others.
